We wanted to provide green cleaning solutions to our clients; therefore we decided to carry Ecover, a range of green cleaning products . The products are made from plant-based ingredients and cover most aspects of home cleaning.
These include: All purpose cleaner lemon, multi action bathroom cleaner, hand soap (lavender & aloe vera), fabric softener-under the sun, floor soap with natural linseed oil, laundry liquid, toilet cleaner Ocean waves, Lemon & aloe vera washing up liquid and window & glass cleaner.
We also offer to replace your empty bottles with a new set of refilled bottles right to your door (based on your existing servicing schedule).
If you go green, no longer will there be chemicals absorbed into the skin or breathed in by the person cleaning. Health benefits extend to family members who are no longer breathing in cleaners lingering in the air and sitting on surfaces.
Studies have shown that using a household cleaning spray, even as little as once a week, raises the risk of developing asthma. Using green cleaning products can reduce the chances of developing asthma, which today is the most common chronic illness and the leading cause of school absences due to chronic illness across the country.
When you use many cleaning products, harmful chemicals are being released into the environment that have adverse effects on you and the people around you.
Changing to greener methods helps reduce pollution to our waterways and the air and it minimises your impact on ozone depletion and global climate change with fewer smog-producing chemicals. Our Ecover products also use recyclable packaging that minimises waste.
Better Air Quality
Most people cannot stand the strong chemical odours of their cleaning products. The Ecover line of products include pleasant natural essential oils which can make cleaning with them seem like aromatherapy.
We’re now told by the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that washing with antibacterial soaps isn’t any better than regular soaps, and the American Medical Association (AMA) asserts that the frequent use of antibacterial ingredients can promote bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Triclosan, a common antibacterial agent found in many soaps, [may] disrupt your hormonal system and thyroid. The Ecover cleaning products do not contain antibacterial agents.
